The Arvor 23 is a great speedboat for bare boat hire for people who prefer to self drive. Ideal for family outings, sightseeing or fishing.

Licensed to carry up to 7 people in total (please note children and babies each count as one person), the boat has all the comforts you would expect including Ipod compatible stereo, enclosed bathroom, hot water deck shower, sun awning, gas cook top, bar fridge, galley gear and dinette. The Arvor sleeps 5 in a double v-berth, a single quarterberth and the dinette folds down to a double berth. We have a mooring in beautiful Taylors Bay available for overnight charters. The boat has a fish finder, fishing license, byo fishing gear. There is an anchor winch, bow thruster and chart plotter.

This self drive speed boat is capable of up to 18 knots, or is limited to 7.5 knots for unlicensed drivers. Charterers do need to have boating experience, or we can offer lessons. Fuel is included in speed limited charters, and is charged at bowser rates for licensed drivers who want to go a little faster.

Using single diesel engines with shaft drives, these are jaunty, low-maintenance, leave-in-the-water wheelhouse craft that have proven reliable over the years.

You get a cabin and, thus, weather protection, bunks in which to spend the night, a small WC and a galley opposite a dinette with views. The cockpit is big enough to cast a line or dine al fresco. Cruise Sydney Harbour without a care in the world aboard this self drive motor boat.

1. What’s the difference between Arvor 23 and Power Arvor 23?
Answer: Power Arvor 23 is for people with boat license and is priced higher, compared to Arvor 23, due to fuel usage because the boat consumes more fuel when driven at a faster speed. Also, a person with a boat
license is permitted to drive the Power Arvor 23 at a speed over 10 knots/18.52 km/h.

Arvor 23, on the other hand, is a boat fit for people without a boat license and can only drive the boat at a speed of less than 10 knots/18.52 km/h. It is charged less because of its lesser fuel consumption.

2. Why is there a small price difference between 8 hours usage and 24-hour usage?
Answer: There is not much of a price difference between the two because the boat will be restricted to a mooring between sunset and sunrise and clients are not permitted to cruise at night. Fuel consumption is
lesser, therefore, the price difference is not that high.

3. Can we dock at any wharves? / Can we get off the boat at any wharves?
Answer: There are only 4 places where the operator of the boat permit the boats to be tied up. These places are Cockle Bay in Darling Harbour, Sydney Fish Markets, Rose Bay Marina, Birkenhead Marina. Three of
these locations have floating pontoons and extra charges may apply. You cannot tie up to any fixed wharves, such as Watsons Bay, Double Bay, Rose Bay, etc. To pull into any other area is at your own risk, any damage caused to vessels will result in the bond being retained by the 3rd party boat operator.

Additional information: For mooring/area to anchor, there are several bays for this. You will need to ask the person in charge during your briefing which bays are most suited to the weather on the day of your cruise.
Alternatively, you can pull up a public mooring buoy. You can also use the boat’s private Mooring in Taylors Bay as well.

4. Where can we go during our charter?
Answer: For Unlicensed Drivers, the boat is bound by the Waterways 4E plying Limit. To the East, you can go as far as Watsons Bay and Georges Head. To the west, you can go as far as Gladesville Bridge and Lane Cove
River; this includes Cockle Bay and Sydney Fish Markets. You are not permitted to cross Sydney Heads; therefore Balmoral, Manly and Middle Harbour are out of bounds. Shark Island and Clark Island are National
Parks and you are not permitted to go ashore or tie up to their wharves at any time.

For Licensed Drivers, You are permitted to access all areas of Sydney Harbour including Middle Harbour and Manly but NOT cross the Sydney Heads into the ocean under any circumstances.
